Today only the four wheel vehicles industry in Bangladesh will be discussed here. At present the famous car ,truck,jeep and special vehicle manufacturers in Bangladesh are Pragoti, Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory, Aftab Automobiles Ltd. ,HS Enterprise, TATA Motors Bangladesh.(JV with Nitol-Niloy).Progati Industries Limited is a Govt. organization established in 1966 located on Dhaka chittagong Highway.They marketed more than 50,000 vehicles such as cars, Jeeps, Buses, Trucks, Pickup, Ambulance, Tractors etc. of multiple models by importing CKD(Complete Knocked Down ) kits from it’s establishment. Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF) Ltd. is a famous company enterprise of its kind in Bangladesh located in Gazipur about 40km away from Dhaka. It started it’s journey on 11th February 1979. BMTF is a state owned limited company under the management of Bangladesh Army. It’s main product is 3 Ton Isuzu Truck,Jeeps,Ambulance,Auto-van ,Auto van etc.Aftab automobiles Ltd. Is a small parts manufacturing and vehicle assembling company which is also a sister concern of Navana Group. Since 1982 this company has been assembling HINO and TOYOTA vehicles for Bangladesh market. It has also recently lunched HINO -Mini bus.Tata motors limited was established in 1945 which is the largest automobile company in India.It started its journey in Bangladesh through Nitol Motors Ltd which is a flagship company of Nitol Group’s.In 1988 Tata vehicles are distributed by Nitol Motors Limited in Bangladesh.
